Today marks the start of a nationwide public service effort that aims to educate users on how to protect their PCs. A Web site for Personal Firewall Day lists tools that can help a novice protect their PC from hackers.
The site is also aimed at security experts, who are asked to help share their expertise and advice with others regarding Internet security. The site is sponsored by McAfee, Microsoft, Sygate, TruSecure and Zone Labs, as well as the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) and the SANS Institute.
