Just when we thought 2G bytes in a small storage factor was cool, along comes Verbatim with its new Store 'n Go 2.1G-byte USB hard drive.

Verbatim-2-1GB.jpgAccording to Verbatim, the drive (about the size of a business card) can store more than two hours of MPEG-1 video, about 500 hours of MP3 files, about 1,000 color photos at 300 dpi resolution, or tons of other data files. The device comes with a USB 2.0 cable for quick transfer of files to the 4200 rpm, 1-inch hard drive. The drive weighs 1.8 oz., and is compatible with Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, XP, CE3.0 and higher; Mac OS 9x and higher, and Linux 2.4 and higher.

The drive can be yours through Verbatim retailers and online retailers for about $250. Go to the Verbatim Web site for more details.
