If you have hundreds of passwords and a bunch of sticky notes all over your computer monitor, you might want to store them more securely. MetaPass this week launched the M500 Digital Key, which allows automatic logon to any Web site (with any browser), application or terminal without having to type in a password.
The USB device stores and protects passwords, and also types them in automatically for you. It also includes 16M-bytes of storage for files, such as presentations and spreadsheets. Passwords can be protected with 448-bit Blowfish encryption, the company said.
The M500 is available now at the MetaPass Web site. It will cost $99.95, but you can also get it for $69.95 during September 2004 when entering the promotional code m500launch on the Web site.
