The Satellite 1955-S805 includes an Intel Pentium 4 processor at 2.53GHz, 512M bytes of SDRAM, a 60G-byte hard drive, a 16-inch diagonal SXGA display, DVD-R/RW multifunction drive, NVIDIA GeForce4 440 Go with 32M-bytes of memory, integrated V.92 and 10/100 Ethernet, optional wireless (802.11b), three USB 2.0 ports and an i.Link (IEEE 1394) port. I purchased the 1955-S805. It is a screamer, I think due in fact to it's 533 MHz system bus speed, compared to other systems' 400 MHz bus speed.

LATER...I found out that the 2455-S305 has a slightly slower 2.4 GHz Pentium 4, same 533 MHz bus speed, and smaller 15-inch display, hence lighter, BUT 2455-S305 also has the SD (secure digital) Card reader, the 1955-S805 does not.

I like the SD Card reader (for my digital camera), and the lighter weight of the 2455-S305. I am considering replacing the 1955-S805 with the 2455-S305.

The slower Pentium of the latter should not be significant.
