Network World Fusion, 03/31/03

Toshiba’s Computer Systems Group today announced two new digital projectors that include integrated 802.11b wireless capabilities. This gives users with wireless notebooks to project their presentations wirelessly without connecting cables, Toshiba said.

Toshiba-TLP_T720.jpgThe TLP-T720 (pictured) and T721 series of projectors also include a flash memory card reader, which lets users give presentations without a PC by having them insert a card into the projector. The projectors have a 2,400 ANSI lumens brightness, support resolution up to XGA (1,024 by 768 pixels), and have a contrast ratio of 400:1. Input signals include NTSC, PAL, SECAM, HDTV/DTV/DVD, VGA, SVGA, SXGA and UXGA. The projectors measure 11.7- by 9.8- by 3.8-inches, and also have digital zoom features (computer video up to 10x, and component video up to 3x). The TLP-T720 weighs 7.5 lbs., and the TLP-T721 weighs 9.1 lbs.

The new projectors are available in April 2003 at the Toshiba Web site, or through the company’s enterprise sales team and other resellers. The TLP-T720 costs $3,199, and the T721 costs $3,999, Toshiba says.
