Intermec Technologies today launched the CT60, a rugged Tablet PC model. Intermec says the CT60 can “perform flawlessly” in freezing temperatures, rain and other outdoor situations. The CT60 includes fully sealed, vacuum-tested, milled aluminum casing, Intermec says, to stand up to the harsher environments that mobile workers may be facing.
The CT60 runs the Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, and includes a Mobile Intel Pentium III Processor-M. It comes available with 256M bytes or 512M bytes of RAM, a 20G-byte or 40G-byte hard drive, dual hot-swappable batteries, and built-in wireless connectivity.
Intermec said that preliminary pricing would be $4,850, and the CT60 would be available in the first part of July 2003. Go to the Intermec Web site for more information.
