Planar Systems recently launched a new 19-inch LCD monitor, the PX191, which has a 700:1 contrast ratio and a brightness of 300 cd/m2. The monitor also includes Planar’s QuadStand base, which the company says lets users adjust the height, swivel and pivoting of the monitor at the touch of a finger.
The PX191 has a 2.3-inch display and supports SXGA (1,280 by 1,024 pixels) resolution, Planar says. It has a 170-degree viewing angle, both vertically and horizontally. The monitor includes analog input and DVI-D input as well. The monitor will be available on May 1 for $849, Planar says, and includes the Portrait Display PivotPro software for adjusting between a landscape or portrait orientation.
