Intermec announced today that its Intermec 760 Color, a rugged Pocket PC device, would support either GPRS or CDMA 1xRTT connectivity.
Intemec says its 700 series of rugged mobile computers is the first ones that can integrate up to three different wireless connectivity options, including 802.11b, GPRS or CDMA (wide-area), and integrated Bluetooth. The handheld device also includes integrated imager options that read both 1D and 2D bar codes, Intermec says. Photography applications, such as signature capture, are also supported. The device includes Intel’s 400MHz X-Scale processor and includes a color display.
