Network World Fusion, 05/08/03

T-Mobile today announced a new rate plan for its T-Mobile HotSpot Wi-Fi service for customers who bundle the wireless data service with their cell phone plan.

T-Mobile said that new and existing T-Mobile customers can add the HotSpot service for $19.99 per month for unlimited access. The special rate is for its voice and data customers and is 50% less than the regular HotSpot rate plans, the company said. The HotSpot service will continue to be available as a stand-alone service or a “pay as you go” plan. Customers will receive only one bill for the HotSpot and the voice plans, the company added.

T-Mobile’s HotSpot service is located at more than 2,300 sites, including Borders Books and Music, Starbucks coffee houses, airports and airline lounges (American, Delta and United). The company said that Kinko’s locations nationwide would offer the service by the end of the year. For a list of locations available, click here.
