weather-phone-2.jpgAccuWeather.com today launched a BREW-enabled weather application that lets users zoom into animated radar imagery on their cell phones. The application also provides multimedia weather forecasts for users.

The weather application is currently available to Verizon Wireless’ Get it Now service customers, AccuWeather.com said. Click here to view the application.

Other features include 10-day local forecasts, hour-by-hour forecasts, forecasts for rain, snow and ice, zoomable radar animations, regional and national satellite imagery, and AccuWeather.com’s RealFeel temperature reading.

After checking with FAA Weather I used my cell phone weather radar (as a backup) to navagate around around thunder storms and rain showers from Marco Island FL to Stewart FL. It was like having my own radar.

Hello everyone, I am a Verizon wireless user and recently bought a new cell phone (LG VX4400) that has ?Get It Now? capability. I am interested in getting a wireless weather application for the phone, but found there were several available:

?AccuWeather.com? by AccuWeather (as mentioned in the above article)

?Radar? by The Weather Channel

?MyCast Weather? by Digital Cyclone

?Area Weather? by SmartServ

I was wonder if anyone knew if one of these programs was a clear standout, favored one program over the other, or had any information in general about the quality of the program(s) you used?

Thanks for taking the time to read my question, and have a good day.

Just in case any one was wondering: No, I am not under the influence of illegal drugs; it?s just that for some unknown reason, all of the double quotes in my previous post were changed into question marks. :)
