Netgear today joined the list of vendors that have 802.11g firmware upgrades for its 802.11g-related products. The company says its firmware upgrade includes the final changes of the specification ratified by the IEEE.
The upgrades will be available at the company’s Web site for the Netgear WGR614 Cable/DSL Wireless Router, and the WG602 Wireless Access Point, the company said. Upgrades for the FWAG114, an 802.11a+g wireless VPN firewall, the WG511 Wireless PC Card, and the WAG511 802.11a+g Wireless PC Card will be available in Q3 2003, Netgear said.
Other companies providing wireless LAN upgrades to the new 802.11g standard include Linksys and Buffalo Technology.
