Belkin joins official “G” parade

Belkin today announced firmware upgrades for the “official” 802.11g standard on its wireless devices. Belkin said that new drivers for all its 54g products that shipped prior to the ratification by the IEEE are available via free download from the Belkin Web site.

Future products will include the features of the ratified 802.11g specification, and will not require the firmware upgrade, the company added.
