D-Link continues to come out with some cool and unique products, both for the wireless world and networking in general.
The latest two products are the D-Link Air DWL-122 and the DP-311P Wireless Print Server. The DWL-122 is a wireless USB adapter that can connect via USB to either a PC or a Macintosh for 802.11b wireless connectivity. The adapter is powered by the USB port, so it is small enough to take "on the go," and includes an extension cable to help distance it from the desktop for an improved wireless signal. The adapter features integrated 64- and 128-bit WEP encryption, and supports systems with Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, XP, and Macintosh OS X (10.x and later). The device is available now for $49, D-Link said.
The D-Link SP-311P is a wireless print server adapter that provides 802.11b connectivity to parallel-port printers. The unit can work in either an infrastructure mode (printer talks to an access point), or in ad hoc mode to provide a device-to-printer connection. The DP-311P also offers 64- and 128-bit WEP encryption. The device will cost $149.99 and be available in mid-July.
