Planar launches $599 19-inch monitor

Planar Systems this week announced new 15-, 17- and 19-inch monitors – the PE line is aimed at entry-level buyers who might not have been able to afford a flat-panel monitor before. The monitors range in price from $289 (15-inch) up to $599 (19-inch).

PlanarMonitor-0722.jpgThe PE150 is a 15-inch monitor with a 400:1 contrast ration, 200 nits of brightness, and has 1,024 by 768 resolution (XGA). The PE170 17-inch monitor has a 350:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits of brightness, and a 1,280 by 1,024 resolution (SXGA). The PE190 19-inch monitor has a 600:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits of brightness and SXGA resolution.
