There’s nothing worse than an overheated notebook -- Antec Inc. wants to help. The company today announced its Notebook Cooler, a device that fits directly underneath a notebook and helps cool the system.

NoteBook_LapTop_low.jpgIt has an aluminum surface designed to conduct heat away from the system, and 388 ventilation holes to “keep a steady distribution of airflow from two 70 mm fans,” Antec said.

The Notebook Cooler weighs 25 oz., and measures 13- by 11.2- by 0.85-inches, which makes it easier for mobile workers to travel with. A 30-inch long USB power cable is provided, and the cooler works with both PC and Macintosh notebooks. The Notebook Cooler costs $39.95 and is available at retailers and online retailers. Go to the Antec Web site for more details.
