Visioneer and Xerox announced today a trademark licensing agreement that would have Visioneer developing, marketing and supporting new Xerox-branded scanners and digital projectors. New products in the line are expected by the end of September or early October, Visioneer officials said.
The agreement is for 3.5 years, and will get Visioneer into the digital projector market, officials said, as well as give Xerox some leverage into that market as well. On the scanner side, the Xerox-branded products will be offered as a premium brand (same Visioneer technology under the hood, but with some premium software bundled as well as some tuning enhancements), the company said.
