Visioneer today launched a new Slimline scanner, the OneTouch 9320 USB color flatbed scanner. The new scanner can scan up to 3,200 by 6,400 dpi in 48-bit color, and includes a USB 2.0 interface, Visioneer said. The scanner is available now for $149.99 through Dell, and will be available in early October at retailers nationwide.
The 9320 scanner includes five “OneTouch” buttons that are pre-configured to common scanning tasks (scan, copy, OCR, e-mail and custom button). The 9320 also includes a built-in transparency adapter, and film holder that lets users scan one negative or one slide at a time at the maximum 3,200 dpi.
The scanner also includes Scan Manager Pro, a TWAIN driver and tools that lets users do things such as zoom in via a mouse scroll wheel, an eyedropper for selecting the black point, midpoint and white point, response curve editing with a dynamic histogram, hue and saturation adjustments and output scaling.
Bundled software includes ScanSoft’s PaperPort 8.0 SE with built-in TextBridge OCR, and ArcSoft’s PhotoImpression 3.0. For more details, go to the Visioneer Web site.
