The new ClickSmart 820, announced today by Logitech, has the ability to let users tag photos directly on the camera for e-mail delivery. Once the camera connects to a computer, the photos are downloaded and automatically e-mailed. The camera, which costs $179.95, also doubles as a Webcam for live Internet video chat sessions (free video instant messaging software included).

LogitechClickSmart820_hires.jpgThe ClickSmart 820 is a 2.1 megapixel camera with a 2x digital zoom, a 1.5-inch LCD color screen, and has a built-in flash and microphone. The device has 8M-bytes of internal memory, which can store 12 photos at 2.1 megapixels, or 64 VGA (640 by 480 resolution), or 60 seconds of video. For additional photos or longer video, users can insert a SmartMedia card in the camera's expansion slot.

The camera connects via USB cable and works with Windows 98 or higher, Logitech said. For more information, go to the Logitech Web site.
