I had a good breakfast meeting with two of the founders of Aeroprise, which wants to help companies mobilize their enterprise applications quicker and easier. The Aeroprise Mobile Gateway (version 3.0 is launching at the show) includes features that lets end users, mainly in the field service or technician space, to personalize the data that they need to deliver to their mobile devices.
Instead of big, bulky applications that get pushed down to mobile devices, the Aeroprise offering reduces the amount of data that needs to travel across the network, and end users get the data that they need to become more productive.
The other thing that I like about this is its ability to customize almost any application, whether it’s an off-the-shelf boxed app or a customized application created by the company. The founders claim that the Mobile Gateway software can be set up in under an hour, another cool fact.
