The eBeam whiteboard system, which lets users capture notes, images and drawings and transfer them to a computer or handheld, has now gone wireless. Luidia Inc., which makes the eBeam system, recently launched the eBeam System 3 Wireless product, which lets any Bluetooth-enabled PC, Macintosh, Palm OS-based handheld or Pocket PC handheld to transfer the notes from the whiteboard to their device.
The eBeam system includes an appliance that attaches to a dry-erase board, or flipchart, or other writing surface, and then digitally captures the notes and diagrams as they are created. Information can then be viewed, saved, edited or shared to users’ computers or handhelds. The system includes the receiver, pen sleeves, standard dry-erase markers and an eraser.
In addition to the new Bluetooth wireless capabilities, the system can still connect via a USB port to PCs and Macs that don’t have Bluetooth, the company said. For more information on the eBeam system or the company, go to the Luidia Web site.
