Fujitsu Computer Systems this week updated its LifeBook S2000 notebook, which now includes the low-voltage mobile AMD XP-M 2000+ processor, and AMD PowerNow! Technology that aims to improve performance and battery life.
The 4-pound notebook includes a 13.3-inch XGA TFT display and a modular bay that can hold a DVD/CD-RW drive, extra battery or “weight saver.” The notebook starts at $1,199, and $1,380 for a notebook with the DVD/CD-RW option, Fujitsu said.
Other features include up to 1G bytes of DDR RAM, up to a 60G-byte hard drive, optional integrated 802.11b/g wireless LAN connectivity, a Type I/II PC card slot, two USB 2.0 ports, an IEEE 1394 port, and the option of Windows XP Home, Professional or Windows 2000 Professional.
