Electrovaya shrinks its Tablets

Electrovaya-SC2000.jpgElectrovaya Inc. today launched the Scribbler SC 2000 series, a Tablet PC / notebook combination that includes a new battery that aims to give up to nine hours of life, the company said. The new tablets (SC 2000, $2,299 and SC 2010, $2599) weigh only 3.1 pounds, include a 40G-byte hard drive (SC 2010 version) and offer up to 768M bytes of RAM.

The tablets come with a 1.2GHz Intel Pentium 4 Mobile processor, a 12.1-inch color screen, and built-in Wi-Fi (802.11b) connectivity. An integrated biometric security device (fingerprint scanner) is also available, and the device runs Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition. More information on the new tablets is available here.
