IOGEAR this week launched a wireless USB print server that attaches to a USB printer and allows for printing over 802.11b/g. The $129.95 device is available now, IOGEAR said.
The device connects to any USB printer that can print standard or tabloid-size documents, and supports the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) for printing over a WAN or the Internet. The server supports DHCP client, multiple network protocols, Telnet and Web management software. It works with Windows 98 SE, ME, NT, 2000, XP, Novell, and Macintosh OS 8.6 systems or later (only supports Postscript printers), as well as Unix and Linux.
Go to the IOGEAR Web site for more details.
Back to Cool ToolsCan you please tell me if this device will function with multifunction printers? I have a lexmark X6170 printer and would like to network it for productivity but would still like to maintain its functionality.
Many Thanks
Rob
