Kanguru-Encryptor.jpgKanguru Solutions this week announced its Kanguru Encryptor -- a device that can lock down and encrypt data on a computer. Once locked, the computer can only be accessed with a physical key. The Encryptor comes in two models -- 40-bit DES or 128-bit Triple DES encryption, and it fits into a 5.25-inch bay on the computer. The device starts at $59.95.

The device uses hardware-based encryption, and can encrypt an entire disk's content bit by bit, Kanguru says, including the boot sector and operating system. It does not require a device driver, and supports all operating systems, the company added. For more information on the product, go to the Kanguru Solutions Web site.
