FireWire 800 (1394b) and USB 2.0 on the same PCI card? That's crazy talk!

Akumen Online this week announced it was close to shipping a combination FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 PCI Host Adapter Card, dubbed its "Super Card", for both Windows and Macintosh computers.

The card includes three FireWire 800 ports (two external, one shared internal), with a 64-bit bus burst mode up to 133M-bytes/sec. The card has four USB 2.0 ports (three external, one shared internal), which are fully compliant with the 2.0 specification, Akumen said.

The device costs $99.95, and can be ordered through the Akumen Online Web site. For more information, check out the product information page.
