Network World Fusion, 08/19/04

Siriusft-Led Zep.jpgJust in time for football season, Sirius satellite radio has launched a plug and play device, the Sportster. The device will be available in September, and will cost $99.99 for the receiver, and $49.99 for each car docking or home docking station (a boom box is an additional $99).

In addition to the 120 channels of Sirius satellite programming, the Sportster includes the Game Alert feature, which prompts the listener that their favorite NFL team is playing, plus Game Zone, which lists all of the games available and scores on Sirius by the league (NFL, NHL, etc.). The device also includes a Jump button that can be programmed to transfer the user to any channel, Sirius says.

For more details on the device, go to the Sirius Web site.
