Error 404--Not Found

From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:

10.4.5 404 Not Found

The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.

If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.

Heat and power concerns are becoming bigger issues in the data center as users deploy denser systems in smaller spaces. My colleague Deni Connor and I have written about some of the issues facing data center managers today and how companies are dealing with them. Vendors are coming out with new technology to address this issue.

One of those vendors, Valere Power, is unveiling a Mini DC Power System that fits into a single rack unit at SuperComm in Chicago this week. The company says the high-power, modular AC/DC power system delivers up to 160 amps of current in a form factor that’s about half the size of other power packs. It’s geared for blade servers and VoIP deployments, for example, where a lot of power is needed to run a large concentration of servers. According to the company, the Mini DC Power System dissipates 35% less heat than competing technology. Check out more about the Mini DC Power system here.
