Citigroup Loses Data on 3.9 million Customers

Citigroup says a package containing computer tapes housing millions of customer names, social security numbers and payment history information was lost in transit to a credit bureau. In the future, Citigroup says it will send data to credit bureaus electronically and in encrypted form.
