Oracle Acquires Seibel

Customers of Seibel’s suite of CRM applications will soon have a new software supplier: Oracle, which has announced plans to acquire Seibel for $3.6 billion.

Oracle offers its own CRM software as well as a CRM product from PeopleSoft, which Oracle acquired earlier this year. Oracle says Seibel’s software and development team will drive Oracle’s future growth in the CRM market.
