Tsarfin NetInfo 5.4 and IPMonitor 5.4
By Gearhead, NetworkWorld.com, 03/07/05
Today, Tsarfin Computing Ltd. announced the simultaneous release of new versions of a couple of network diagnostic tools we really like -- NetInfo 5.4 and IPMonitor 5.4. We wrote about Tsarfin's NetInfo and IPMonitor some time ago in Gearhead -- first on 03/04/02 and then on 12/08/03. The latter has more product details and was prompted by the release of version 4.9 of both tools. Here's what Tsarfin highlights in the new version 5.4 releases ...
Netinfo 5.4: Completely rewritten, vastly improved Local Info tool lets you obtain information about local host and currently active version of the Windows Sockets. On Windows 2000, XP, and 2003 the Local Info tool also reports full network adapter information for the local computer.
IPMonitor 5.4: Internal Web server provides remote access to the monitoring results using a Web browser. IPMonitor 5.4 has a built-in Web server listening on TCP/IP port 80 or at a user selected port for requests to display the latest status of the monitored devices. Multiple users supported. Always generates monitoring results "on the fly." Information is generated freshly making it always 100% up to date.
Upgrading is free for anyone who purchased NetInfo or IPMonitor less than one year ago. If you purchased it more than one year ago, you are no longer entitled to free upgrade. However, you can purchase an upgrade to version 5.4 at a special, greatly discounted price, and this upgrade will allow you to get free upgrades for another full year: Home License Upgrade - $14.95 / Academic License Upgrade - $19.95 / Enterprise License Upgrade - $29.95.
