Last week it was finding houses for sale. This week's marvelous use of Google Maps is Cheap Gas, a site that lets you find the cheapest spot to fill up your tank. It's a combination of GasBuddy and Google Maps, but unlike its house-hunting cousin, you can search on all 50 states for both regular and diesel. This could be bad for the gas companies because it shows what neighborhoods they target with lower prices. But it's good for you, especially with gas over $2.00 a gallon. Now if they could combine the gas price with stations that feature full-service Dunkin' Donuts, our life would be complete.
