Priscilla Milam, featured this week in Network World's Management Strategies section, didn't know networking was her calling from Day One. The current IT executive at the North Harris Montgomery Community College District in The Woodlands, Texas, says she started out part-time in the computer center back when she attended Texas A&M, then worked for the government and eventually found her way into the early days of networking.

Data center automation vendor Opsware is adding storage to the list of IT domains it can manage. The vendor today announced it had entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Boulder, Colo.-based Creekpath Systems for $10 million in a deal expected to close early next month.
