Flaw in RealOne Player
By Jason Meserve, NetworkWorld.com, 02/06/04
NGSSoftware is warning of a flaw in RealOne Player could be exploited to run arbitrary code on the affected user's machine. To exploit the vulnerability, a malicious user would have to create a special RealMedia, RealPix, RealText, RAM or SMIL file, which would result in a user being forced to a specific Web site where the malicious code could be downloaded and executed. RealNetworks has issued a patch. No word in the new RealPlayer 10 client is affected.
