New MCU to debut next week

Codian, a U.K.-based start-up, is unveiling its new MCU next week at the Video Conference Summit in New York. The new MCU is an H.323-only device (SIP is on the roadmap) that lets each user choose their own continuous presence layout - most of the competition only support one layout for the entire conference. Codian is using Texas Instruments' latest digital signal processor (DSP) chips in its box and should have plenty of processing headroom to add a bundle of new features. Check out my news story on the roll out here.
