Our most recent Network World Fusion Radio program features John Seely Brown, a visiting scholar at the Annenberg Center at USC and former chief scientist at Xerox Parc, discussing what's good and bad about today's conferencing and collaboration technologies. Listen in here.
One production related note about this show: I recorded it on standard tape and had to real-time playback/capture on my PC to do the editing and post-production work. I am looking to buy a MiniDisc recorder, but from what I read, all the available Sony models that come with a microphone and USB connection do not allow files to be transferred back to the PC over the USB port and converted to WAV. Everything stays in the Sony Atrac3 format, which is useless for me to edit. The only way to get it in a useful format is to record it real-time through my PC mic input, which is what I am doing already with tape. Sony allegedly is coming out with a coverter application that will allow the conversion to WAV, but I haven't seen anything yet.
