Google clarifies Video Upload terms
By Jason Meserve, NetworkWorld.com, 04/21/05
There was some confusion in the blogosphere over the terms of service for the new Google Video Upload feature. The way the original terms read, it was unclear who would be charged - the content owner or the viewer - if a clip became overly popular, resulting in higher-than-expected delivery costs. Google has published an update to the TOS that says the viewer will be the one who is charged for free videos that become popular or for those clips that the owner charges a fee for, Google will take a bigger cut. That's good news for would-be publishers that don't want to be stuck with a surprise bill.
