Interwise, the winner of our recent Web collaboration comparative test, this week released version 6.0 of its ECP Connect Web conferencing service. The key highlight in the new version: A permanent meeting room for individual users that can be utilized for ad hoc conferences. In side the meeting room, can publish documents that can pushed to meeting attendees. Interwise also enhanced its integration with Outlook to help make scheduling meetings easier. And, the company announced an integration with EMC Documentum's eRoom content management system. Another enhancement, PowerPoint slides are now rendered in DHTML.
A nice thing about Interwise is they can sell you ECP Connect if you want to host it yourself. They can even fail your local system over to their hosted service in the event a box goes down or the system is overbooked.
