Thank goodness for the upcoming Labor Day weekend, we're going to need it to rest of up for all the dueling press releases from Microsoft and RealNetworks next week. Wednesday is the much anticipated launch of Windows Media Services 9, the latest and greatest streaming technology from Redmond. Real has already started the "reminder" campaign for its new Helix Platform that can deliver all the major formats from one server to one player (with an asterisk). It should be an interesting week.
