Network World Fusion 09/11/02
ISP Broadwing unveiled a new videoconferencing service (warning: press release) for users that want to do IP conferencing over a dedicated network. The company says it will offer two types of service: a user-hosted and Broadwing-hosted version. The user version allows customers to do their own scheduling and management of video calls. On the hosted side, a service representative can be used to walk the user through the process.
This is good news for the videoconferencing industry. Currently, there are only a handful of providers offering similar services to Broadwing. The more options will hopefully continue to spur adoption and use of IP videoconferencing.
Back to The Multimedia ExchangeWondering if Broadwing has any success stories of any customers that used IP videoconferencing sense the release date.
