Network World Fusion 04/10/03

We mentioned earlier this week that Tandberg is now supporting Polycom's People+Content technology in its MCU line. Well, Tandberg is also making news because it's opening up its Management Suite to allow access to Radvision and Cisco MCUs, enabling users to schedule and control conferences on those devices as well as Tandberg's own equipment.

In addition, Tandberg this week unveiled a new executive conference room video endpoint - the Tandberg 7000 - that comes complete with dual 30-inch LCD screens. Using Tandberg's DuoVideo technology, presentations can be displayed on one screen and people on the other. Up to four site can be conferenced in together with a built-in MCU. The 7000 supports either ISDN or IP networks. No word on price.
