Looks like AOL is bringing streaming media to the masses with the upcoming releases of AOL 9.0. David Minto of TV Meets the Web writes:
The most significant developments, however, remain those supporting multimedia content. AOL needs such features in order to retain a hold on its 34m narrowband subscribers if, or rather when, these upgrade to broadband.
Minto adds that AOL 9.0 will feature its own proprietary player as well as support for the three major formats.
