Network World Fusion 11/04/03

Onmia Audio last week introduced a new audio processing application for streaming media producers designed to enhance a raw audio feed before it hits the encoders. The Omnia A/X software works with any encoder product that runs on Windows and offers such features as wideband automatic gain control, a three-band combined AGC/Limiter, high frequency EQ and an adjustable-bandwidth low pass filter, according to the company's announcement. It is also said to help reduce clipping of high-frequencies, which result in poor quality streams. Omnia A/X runs on Windows NT, 2000 and XP and is priced at $595.
