FVC gets some cash

In addition to today's Latitude news, First Virtual Communications this week announced a $10 million private placement of stock, which will net the company around $9 million in cash when all is said and done. FVC is moving from a software-based videoconferencing company to more of a Web conferencing play that includes both audio and video on the desktop. The $10 million should help keep them moving in the right direction.
