Network World Fusion 03/16/04

Corporate T-1 lines are going to be saturated Thursday and Friday. The NCAA is offering live video feeds of the first three rounds (37 games, many overlapping) of its Men's Basketball tournament for $9.95. You'll need the latest Windows Media player and a copy of your local CBS affiliates' game schedule (because those games won't be available to you live.) I think this is pretty cool. The NCAA realizes that not everyone is sitting in front of their TVs, especially on Thursday and Friday, and there's a market to capture. Plus, some fans want to watch specific games that may not be shown by their local outlet. Perfect opportunity to root on Your U. in the tournament.
