Network World Fusion 06/16/04

This is exactly what I was thinking this weekend after puttering around with the now-free Home Media Option for my TiVo. As I wrote earlier, Real and Starz are doing an on-demand subscription service for PCs, but it would be much better if I could off-load the process to my TiVo, which basically sits there all day connected to the Interent. My wife and I do most of our movie watching on the weekend, so that would give 5 full days for content to be downloaded over our DSL connection. Most weeks, I work from home two days, but that still leaves a lot of time where the bandwidth is barely used providing plenty of room for downloading DVD-quality (or better) movies.
