Network World Fusion, 08/25/04

Sorenson announced today that is has begun shipping the latest version of Squeeze, a media compression suite that supports all the major formats. I am supposed to be getting a copy to take a look at soon, so I'll report back my findings. I am particularly interested in trying out the Watch Folder system, which will hopefully help me automate the production of Network World Fusion Radio programs. Right now, I run the WAV file through three different applications. If I can drop into the folder and have Squeeze do the rest, it could be a nice time saver. If you want more info on Squeeze, read my earlier entry on the tool.
