If you have IPv6 on your roadmap and you are a Windows shop, Microsoft has a guide for getting a test lab going.
The guide walks users through configuring IPv6 in a lab with five computers – a DNS server, two clients and two routers. The guide also includes updates based on security improvements in Windows Server 2003 SP1 and Windows XP Pro SP2.
IPv6 is kicking up some serious debate among IT pros and others including when users need to get going with the protocol.
Microsoft also is including support for IPv6 in Vista as one of the networking enhancements to the client operating system.
