Error 404--Not Found |
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:10.4.5 404 Not FoundThe server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent. If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address. |
The latest version of the open-source eXtensible Open Router Platform (XORP) can now run on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 box. Previously, the code could only run on open-source operating systems (Linux, FreeBSD, etc) and MacOS.
XORP is a package of open-source code that can be compiled to run as a full-function WAN router on top of a standard computer (Intel hardware and commodity PC/server operating systems). The package includes standard router protocol support, such as RIP, BGP and OSPF. The fact that XORP is a modularized architecture, with services running on top of a kernel, is already a step up from traditional router operating systems, which typically ran all processes together in one lump.
XORP on Windows broadens exposure of the software to users who may be more comfortable with Microsoft operating systems than free Unix/Linux-style software. But running XORP on Windows in either a test or production environment would take more of a commitment to the XORP platform, since a license for Windows Server 2003 goes for around $800; XORP's previously-supported platforms (except for MacOS) were free.
can anyone help me
i m student of final year enng........ i know XORP project very well .........and i also have idea about CLICK............
i m implementing the XORP or CLICK package with kernel and then i will make image file out of it.....and by using commodity hardware(like 915 GB board with PCIX slots) i gonna create chasis like system that will perform routing , the image will be stored at pendrive and boot will be from pendrive n other features ................
so where i m facing the problem is am i doing little bit new or its a old fashion of routing.........nothing new in this .......so i want help from techies in this field
thanx sir
