Storage management software provider Storability is picking up the intellectual property of ProvisionSoft, a CMGI company that is selling off its assets.
ProvisionSoft's DynamicIT will be incorporated into Storability's Global Storage Manager, which Storability sells to enterprise-size businesses.
Meanwhile, shareholders of Legato stock have filed suit in California courts to stop the acquisition of the company by EMC. SANcastle, a Fibre Channel over IP router company, is rumored to be in talks to combine its assets with a few other companies. And, HP, who just reorganized its storage division and lost storage software VP Mark Sorenson to EMC, is said to be on the acquisition prowl.
