No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent. If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address. |
Intransa updates StorControl
Intransa unveiled this week a new version of its StorControl storage management software for managing the Intransa IP5000 Storage System. The IP SAN appliance now also scales to as much as 24 terabytes. StorControl now supports as many as four storage controllers and six disk enclosures. The company has added additional levels of RAID support for data protection and iSNS support, which provides discovery, management and configuration of the IP5000 Storage System. An optional snapshot feature has also been added. StorControl 1.2 is shipping now. Prices were not given.
